Hello from Adelaide, Australia! Currently Developing "Confidence to Launch" and Hitting Roadblocks
I don't mean an app, I mean the skill. I am currently sitting on a SaaS app that is ready to launch and fear has set in, so I procrastinate the launch by starting another project and immersing myself into the new project. The build phase is the fun part I suppose... but I really need to make some effort to get to the money-making phase.
I know other people have this problem, I can't be the only one. What do you think causes it? Is it fear of success? I think in my case, even a small amount of success would change my life quite dramatically. Of course, this is a good thing and absolutely necessary, but I am aware that I will be stepping outside of my comfort zone and into the unknown.
I'm feeling a huge mix of excitement, nervousness, good feelings as well as fear. I am so close to taking that leap of faith, but still holding back a little.
Anyway, about me: My name is Jenna and I am 42 years old, mother to an amazing 8 year old son (Both my son and I have ADHD and Autism, not relevant to this discussion but it is relevant to how I work and run my businesses) and I have been a "Small Business Entrepreneur" for the past 15 years (roughly).
In the past I have built small semi-passive income businesses and websites, eventually moving onto automation and service-based businesses. I am also the Founder and Lead Public Relations Specialist at VCAdvisors and the SaaS products I am currently working on/about to launch are in relation to public relations and media intelligence. The products I have built are products that I have needed myself.
Aside from that I am a meditation teacher on Insight Timer and a huge Brainwave Entrainment nerd. I have considered making a meditation app but there are way too many of those already, I'm not adding to the noise.
So that is pretty much all I have to say for now. I am really interested to hear peoples thoughts about fears of success and self-confidence issues about launching their product.
Thanks for reading, I am super excited to be here by the way. I hadn't mentioned that yet :)

Hi 👋 from Melbourne.
Whether it is fear of success or failure. There is only one way you will find out if what you believe will work - start sharing your idea early and get feedback early.
There is no use building something if no one will use it. I suppose it can be a good learning project but you will only get the pleasure of seeing real customers use your product once you market it.
It can be unnerving but just release the idea and be open to feedback. Good luck!!
@custominstall Thank you Kunal, you're right. I have to get over these nerves and just do it!
