👋 Hello Product Hunt! I'm Aleksan, I build PopupGenius
I'm building PopupGenius: popups you design by chatting with AI. You describe the offer and it builds the popup in your site's colors. It started as a Shopify app and now works on any website with one script tag.
Then AI changed how fast one person can build. A SaaS stopped feeling like a team project. So I built a Shopify app, PopupGenius: popups you design by chatting with AI. And from that app I'm now building the SaaS version, so it is one product on more than one platform: Shopify and any website.
I'm launching it here on November 10, but today I'm here to meet people, not to pitch.
So I'm curious about you:
What are you building, and who is it for?
And a small one: do you run a store or a site where popups have ever caused you trouble? I'd love to hear the story.
Would love to hear from you =)

Welcome Aleksan. I build a song app, mostly for people making a personal song as a gift. Not a store, but I have the in app cousin of your problem: the rating prompt. The rules that made it tolerable were all about timing, not design. It asks only after a good moment: someone actually listened to a fresh song for half a minute, or successfully shared something they made. It never asks while the app is in the background. And a bad moment, a failed song or a cancelled purchase, blocks every ask until the next launch. If PopupGenius can let a store owner say "never right after something went wrong" as easily as it picks colours, that would be a feature I would point to.
