Hey PH! I'm Ashraf — a solo dev who got stuck thinking about spreadsheets

I'm a developer based in Tunisia, and a few months ago I went down a rabbit hole looking at rental property tools. What I found was a weird gap: every landlord app I could find was either built for property management companies juggling dozens of units — expensive, packed with features nobody with 2-3 rentals needs — or it was a bloated all-in-one platform asking for a cloud account, a subscription, and access to tenant financial data before you'd even added your first property.

Meanwhile, the actual majority of landlords I talked to (renting out 1-10 units on the side, not as a full-time business) were just... using a notebook. Or a spreadsheet that breaks the moment two tabs get out of sync. Nobody had built something simple for them, and definitely nobody had built something that didn't treat "put your tenants' financial data in our cloud" as a given.

So I built LandlordPro — a rent tracker that does the boring-but-essential stuff (who paid, who's late, expense tracking, WhatsApp/SMS reminders) without asking for a cloud account or collecting data. Everything stays on your device.

It's live now, still early (I'm the whole team 😅), and I'm genuinely here to learn from this community — how other solo devs think about privacy-first products, how you all approach pricing a niche tool, and honestly just to meet people building things.
