You've been there, or you will be.

Someone dies, and suddenly one person in the family is holding everything together — fielding calls, organizing a service, figuring out how to pay for it, keeping everyone informed — while also just trying to grieve. It's one of the hardest coordination problems a person can face. And there's no real system for it. Just group texts, GoFundMe links, and improvisation at the worst possible moment.

The people who end up in that role didn't volunteer for it. They just happened to be the most capable person in the room. And for weeks, sometimes months, they carry it alone.

I watched this happen up close, more than once, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Not as a tragedy — but as a solvable problem. A structural failure that technology hasn't seriously tried to fix. That gap bothered me enough to do something about it.

I'm a product thinker and a trained actor — two disciplines that are more related than they sound. Both require you to understand what people are actually experiencing, not just what they say they're experiencing. That instinct is what I'm bringing to this space.
