Hi from Dhaka: building an AI factory OS for garment and textile factories
Hi everyone! I'm Mohiemen, an Industrial & Production Engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is one of the world's biggest garment exporters, and I've spent a lot of time on sewing and textile floors. The same pattern shows up almost everywhere: the plan is in Excel, line output is on a whiteboard, defects are in a paper register and machine breakdowns are reported in a WhatsApp group. People work incredibly hard, but problems are usually spotted at the end of the shift, when the lost hour is already lost.
So with my team I'm building Intelactory, an AI factory operating system for textile and apparel manufacturers. It brings planning, production, quality, maintenance and compliance into one live view, with predictive maintenance and EU Digital Product Passport readiness built in. We're piloting with a garment factory now, and we launch here on Product Hunt on Tuesday, Nov 10.
Two questions for this community:
Has anyone here built software for factories or other non-desk workers? What helped people on the floor actually adopt it?
If you've launched a B2B or industrial product on Product Hunt, what would you do differently?
Happy to answer anything about manufacturing in Bangladesh, and glad to be here!

Welcome Mohiemen, and good luck on the 10th! I have not built for factory floors, but one lesson from my consumer app may transfer: test on the phones your users actually own, not the ones in the office. My app uses a device attestation check on every server call, and it has locked out real users on hardware I never tested: a device in Thailand, one in Africa, a Xiaomi in India, and this week an older iPhone on its last iOS version. That person only saw "sign in failed" and made three empty accounts in 25 minutes trying other methods. On a sewing floor the phones are probably shared, older, and on patchy networks, so I would make every failure say plainly what to do next.
