Hi, I’m Daniel from Prague. I’m building MORELESS.

I wanted to build a software company I’d trust as a customer.

One thing that drives me mad is a PDF site letting you upload a file and do the work, then waiting until download to tell you to create an account or pay to remove a watermark. By then, you’ve already spent your time.

With MORELESS, I want people to know where to go when they have a file to work on, and to trust the result they get back.

We’re developing it at our company, MORELESS. You can use the web product today. I’d start with the QR code generator or the PDF editor.

We’re also developing our own PDF processing technology and MORELESS for Mac. I want this to grow into an ecosystem across platforms, with integrations into the applications people already use at work.

If there’s a job with files that you keep having to piece together across several apps, tell me what it is.

Welcome, Daniel. Your PDF example stings a little, because I build on the other side of that line: in my app the first song is free to make and listen to, and saving or sharing the file is what is paid. I think the honest version is not avoiding a paywall but making sure people know where it sits before they spend their time, not after. A free QR generator with no catch is a smart way to earn that trust first. Good luck with the Mac app!

Yep, I agree. I meant the sites that let you upload a file and spend time working on it, then tell you at the download step that you have to pay (typically after 30min of fine-tuning your pdf file) drives me crazy... If you know what’s paid before you start, you can decide whether it’s worth it..totally agree.

Thanks for the warm welcome and good luck with your app too! :)

Thirty minutes of work and then the surprise is the worst version of it, agreed. Thanks Daniel, good luck with MORELESS!
