I'm a 16-year-old founder building a financial education startup. Looking for feedback.
Hi everyone!
I’m currently a high school student and have created a free financial education platform called Finpello.
The aim is to make learning about finances more engaging by providing bite-sized lessons, interactive quizzes, levels, achievements and challenges.
The site is currently up and running and currently looking to improve and bring on our first set of regular users.
If anyone else can provide some feedback from fellow founders, developers and those interested in financial education, that would be greatly appreciated.
Some questions I’m looking to answer:
What would encourage you to use this platform regularly?
What can we do to make our platform unique to others on the market?
How can we best reach early users without spending too much on marketing?
Website: https://finpello.org
I’m always open to constructive criticism and any advice. Thank you!

Impressive start, Ryan. On your first question, one data point from my own app about levels and streaks: I added a daily reward with a bigger prize on day 7, and after its first days 30 of 37 people who claimed it never came back for a second day. A streak rewards coming back but does not give a reason to. For finance, the reasons are real moments: a first paycheck, a first card, saving for something specific. Lessons that show up exactly then will beat a daily nudge. And one tip for reaching users cheaply: ask one question at sign up, like what they are saving for, and store the answer, so every lesson and message after that can be about their goal, not a generic one.
