I paid $30,000 for zero meetings. Now I’m building the sales tool I wish I’d had
I’m Yuriy, Ukrainian, co-founder of AiSDR and a second-time YC founder. Before this, I co-founded AXDRAFT, grew it through founder-led sales, and sold it.
You’d think that would make getting customers easier the second time.
I still paid an outbound agency $30,000 over six months and got zero meetings.
That experience helped push me to build AiSDR. We automated research, personalized emails, follow-ups, and booking.
Then we ran into a harder problem.
A founder could have perfectly written emails and still be targeting people who had no reason to buy. Our software could execute the campaign, but the customer still had to figure out whether it was worth running.
Sometimes we were helping people make the wrong bet faster.
That’s what led us to build Ami. You give it your website, and it helps work out who to approach, why they might care now, and what to offer. You approve the campaign, and it keeps watching the results and suggesting what to change.
We’re bringing it to Product Hunt tomorrow.
I’m here to meet other founders doing their own sales, compare what’s actually working, and hear the uncomfortable feedback that makes a product better.
What’s the most expensive lesson you’ve learned trying to get customers? Money, time, or both.
