I went from running software companies to making videos for them, and now I'm here! Hello!

Hey all.

I actually had no idea Product Hunt had forums. This is super cool!

Seems like a great way to connect with other people building cool stuff.

A little bit of background from me:

• Started as support rep for a software company in the WordPress space in 2018

• Became COO

• Didn't like it that much, so pivoted to in-house spokesperson and video producer

• Found out that I love video production

• Now I'm leaning into that with videomysite.com and generally just trying to make more videos for more cool products and companies

I also co-founded and grew a small WP plugin that did $98k revenue in 2025.

So, I've been involved in pretty much all aspects of product from development and launch to support, maintenance, marketing, and everything in between.

But my true love is video. And I think really good video can help really good products stand out, especially right now when mediocre video is easier than ever to produce.

Overall, I've learned a lot about making great videos about software and am excited to share that knowledge with other makers/founders/startups.
