Launched my first app today! ...But caught a cold and can't eat my celebration dinner ðŸ˜
by•
Hi everyone! I'm Shin, a developer from Japan. 🇯🇵
Today is a big day for me because I finally launched my app PomoLab on Product Hunt! To celebrate, I made this huge feast (Sushi cake & Roast beef).
...But ironically, I caught a bad fever right after cooking. Now I can only eat rice porridge while watching my ranking (currently Top 50!).
It's a bittersweet launch day, but I'm happy to be here. If you have any advice for a sick maker in the final hours, let me know!

Huge congrats on your first launch 🚀 Take care and hope you still get to enjoy the win. Top 50 is no small thing
@miasantos Thank you so much! Honestly, I was feeling a bit down about being sick, but your comment reminded me that being in the Top 50 is actually a great start. I'll rest up and properly enjoy this win. Thanks for the boost! 🚀
Hi @shin_pomolab
Launching on Product Hunt is just the beginning. If you can push through this day despite sickness, there will be many celebratory occasions for PomoLab. And maybe next time you can enjoy a feast with your early customers too.
Best wishes, godspeed.
@ashok_nayak Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! Reading this actually made me feel better than any medicine. You are absolutely right, this is just the beginning. I'll keep pushing forward so that one day I can celebrate a huge milestone with users like you!
@luke_glover I get your concern, and my answer could get long...but I will keep it short. If your product is great, you won't need Product Hunt.
This is just a listing platform, so you may get votes/inputs here and there, but not many real customers/signups. What comes next is the real grind and efforts required to get customers and keep them happy.
