I built Looks Like Good Design because I wanted a place to be inspired, and a place that helps other people feel that same spark. The internet has plenty of 'content', but not enough calm, thoughtful curation with a point of view.
I genuinely want to feature great work, credit the people who made it and add a small layer of human context about why it works.
LLGD is deliberately human. We do not feature AI generated artwork. It's not to say AI doesn't have a place but it really exists to celebrate the people behind the work, and to keep the tone open and light so the conversation stays welcoming.
Process wise, it has been a long build. I took over the site in 2020, then rebuilt it from the code up and relaunched in 2025, tightening the experience around clarity, speed and a writing style that feels like a designer talking to designers.
