We Got 400 Downloads on Day One. Can Meridian Top the Month?

Meridian finished as the #1 Product of the Day on Product Hunt and crossed 400 downloads on its first day.
We built Meridian because meaningful work often disappears between debugging sessions, unexpected fixes, and updates written from memory. It is an open-source, MIT-licensed, local-first AI work journal that runs on your device, organizes your activity into a clear timeline, and drafts worklogs and project updates for you to review and approve.

Yes please post the daily numbers, the curve after day one is the part almost nobody shares and it is the only way to tell a spike from a trend. Did the 400 come mostly off the launch page itself, or from the newsletter features?

The 400 downloads came from a mix of Product Hunt traffic and newsletter exposure. Meridian was featured three times in the Product Hunt newsletter, including once before the launch day ended.
Over the past week, we have continued to gain roughly 30 users each day.

@adityaharish2002 Thirty a day sustained is the number that actually matters and almost nobody publishes it. Thanks for being straight about the split too, most people leave you guessing whether it was the launch or the newsletter.
The monthly leaderboard is a fun target but i think real developer habits will be the harder and more valuable milestone.

@upendra_kumar17 Absolutely. The monthly leaderboard is a useful milestone, but sustained daily use is what will determine whether Meridian creates lasting value for developers.
@adityaharish2002 Yeah I think the interesting part will be seeing whether it actually changes peoples daily habits, not just whether they show up for the leaderboard.
The work journal idea feels practical because developers are notoriously bad at reconstructing what they actually did at the end of a busy day.
