Midscrow – 8 Months Solo to Make Stranger-to-Stranger Trades Feel Safe Again

I’m Gord, solo maker behind Midscrow. Spent over 8 months nights/weekends building this because P2P trades (crypto swaps, game accounts, freelance, gift cards) kept feeling risky. Friends got scammed, I had close calls, the “send first and hope” anxiety is real.

Wanted a tool that lets strangers trade safely without centralized middlemen holding funds forever or taking sides. Everything on-chain, dual confirmations, timeouts that protect the responsive party, secure chat so convos stay in-app (with keyword warnings for off-platform tricks), and special video verification for gift cards.

Also added a reseller panel, invite-only for trusted folks to sell access passes and earn 50% commission (they never see buyer personal info, all privacy-protected). Resellers who sell middleman passes can offer their buyers BOGO! (Buy one get one free) where resellers get the upper hand over Midscrow itself so buyers of my resellers can’t just say like ‘Why would I buy from you and not just Midscrow’ well that is why ^ that smart marketinf strategy for my resellers will make it a breeze for them to answer that.

Launched v3.0 with free passes to test low-risk (first 3 months unlimited use for everybody). Super open to honest feedback: what’s missing? Any horror stories you’d want better protection for? Happy to run tiny test trades or answer questions.
