Tired of ads? Me too. Here is the antidote.
Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm the maker of N28.net.
I built this tool out of frustration. I mostly just wanted to check my internet speed or look up my public IP, but every major site I visited was:
Loaded with 5MB of tracking scripts.
Covered in banner ads.
Slower than the internet connection I was trying to test.
So I built the opposite.
N28 is a serverless, privacy-first network utility hub. It runs almost entirely client-side (in your browser), meaning it loads instantly and your data stays with you.
What's under the hood?
π Gigabit Speed Test: We use multi-threaded downloads to saturate even fiber connections.
π‘οΈ Privacy Audit: Instantly checks for WebRTC leaks that VPNs might miss.
π§ Dev Tools: Built-in Subnet Calculator (CIDR), Base64 encoder, and MAC OUI lookup.
π Dark Mode: By default. Because we aren't savages.
The Goal: I want this to be the "Second Monitor" dashboard for devs, sysadmins, and anyone who cares about digital privacy.
I'd love your feedback:
Does the speed test feel accurate for your connection?
What other "micro-tools" do you find yourself Googling daily? I want to add them here.
Thanks for checking it out! Stefan

Hey Product Hunt! π
I've been busy adding more power to N28.net!
We've just launched a massive update with 20+ new developer & utility tools including:
JSON Formatter & Validator (with minify)
Base64 Converter (Text & Image)
Cron Job Generator (Visual scheduler)
UUID/GUID Generator (Bulk v4)
Cooking Converter (Cups to Grams with ingredient density!)
PLUS, I added a Bionic Reading Script that anyone can use on their own website. It automatically boldens the start of words to guide the eyeβperfect for ADHD or speed reading. A Google Chrome Extension is in Pending Approval status.
You can test the Bionic Reader live in action on this page: https://healthsecrets.com/mental-wellness-naturally-complete-guide/ (Click the 'Read Faster?' button in the corner!)
The code to embed can be grabbed from https://www.n28.net/tools/bionic-reading-converter.html ... It works on mobiles too, so you can enable speed reading on any page from your website and it will work on mobile as well.
Let me know what you think! π
