First six hours on Product Hunt: what people reacted to, and what nobody asked yet

by•

Six hours in. Honest recap of what has happened on the launch so far.

What people reacted to most: the approval rule. Almost every comment we got today, on the launch page, on LinkedIn and in the Product Hunt groups on Facebook, was about agents that draft but cannot publish. One founder called it "a workforce with a brake". Another compared it to the human-handoff step in customer-support tools. A customer said the Customer Support agent and the Carousel Designer are saving them real hours every week. Nobody pushed back on the rule, which surprised us. We expected at least one person to say it makes the agents too slow.

What nobody asked yet, so here are the answers anyway:

1. What happens when an agent gets it wrong? Nothing goes out. The draft sits in your approval queue, you edit or reject it, and the correction becomes part of what the agent learns about your voice.

2. Can I take over a conversation? Yes. Reply in the inbox yourself and the agent stands down on that thread.

3. What does a run cost? Every run shows the credits it used. There is a free plan with no card, and paid plans start at $9.99 a month.

One thing worth knowing if you commented and cannot see it: Product Hunt holds comments from newer accounts for review, sometimes for hours. It is not us hiding anything.
