Novel - Open-source Notion-style editor with AI autocomplete

Hey Product Hunt! Super excited to launch Novel – an open-source Notion-style WYSYWIG editor with AI-powered autocompletions ✨ Some context: I've always been a huge fan of Notion. Since Vercel launched the AI SDK yesterday, I decided to take this opportunity to recreate Notion's block editor from scratch. Bonus: Incorporate some of Notion's latest AI features with `npm i ai` 🪄 Novel is built on the following stack: ◆ Next.js – framework ◆ Tiptap – text editor ◆ OpenAI - AI completions ◆ Vercel AI SDK – AI library ◆ Vercel – deployments ◆ TailwindCSS – styles ◆ Cal Sans – font Novel also handles image uploads via drag & drop / copy & paste. Images are stored as base64 strings in localStorage currently, but I'm planning to implement uploads to Vercel Blob in the future. Best part about Novel – it's free & fully open source!
