Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I'm Saba, and I built Open Paper because I was drowning in PDFs while doing research. I had hundreds of papers saved across folders, and every time I needed to find something, I'd spend ages skimming through documents trying to remember where I read it. More than that, I often struggled to understand concepts in new domains, and wanted an AI assistant I could rely on.

I wanted a tool that could actually help me think, without worrying about slop. So I built Open Paper to let you have a conversation with your papers and get answers with citations you can verify.

Since our last launch, I've been focused on making it easier to work with groups of papers:
- Projects let you organize related papers and chat across all of them. You can invite collaborators, so you can build on a shared source of truth.
- Audio Overviews turn your project into a podcast-style summary. I use this all the time when I'm walking or doing chores and want to stay in the zone.
- Data Tables let you pull structured info from multiple papers at once. These are super useful for comparing methods or results across studies.

Would love to hear what you think, and happy to answer any questions!
