We ditched rigid grids and cloud voice to build the ultimate PC command center
Hey hunters,
I am excited (and very nervous) to share that we are launching ottomate here on ProductHunt tomorrow.
It is already available in beta, and it is currently free to use because we want your feedback to shape the roadmap (deep OBS/Zapier integrations are coming next).
We started this project because we were torn between two frustrations:
Hardware limitations: We loved the idea of macro decks, but hated spending $150+ for a rigid 3x5 grid of physical buttons.
Voice privacy: We wanted to control our setups with voice, but didn't want an "always-listening" device sending our data to the cloud (plus, the latency kills the workflow).
So, we built a tool that turns your mobile device into a privacy-first, freeform command center.
Here is what makes ottomate different:
The Freeform Editor: We broke the grid. You can place buttons, toggles, and web embeds anywhere on your canvas. Overlap them, resize them, make it look like a sci-fi cockpit or a minimal zen garden.
Local AI Voice Control: This is the big one. We use local Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and Push-to-Talk. No audio ever leaves your network. It is private, and because it is local, it is snappy.
The Freedom: Hardware monitoring, global shortcuts, app launching, and complex macros -- all from the phone in your pocket or that old tablet collecting dust in a drawer. Or just use your voice or global shortcuts directly from your keyboard. Mix and match.
My question for the community is: when it comes to productivity tools, do you prefer spending time customizing the perfect aesthetic, or do you prefer instant, ugly-but-functional templates?
I will be hanging out here for a couple of hours now and all day tomorrow to answer questions about our tech stack (local AI models, connection protocols), the roadmap, or whatever other questions you might have.
See you at the launch tomorrow.

Well, I wasn't aware it would take so long to get the post approved, and the launch is happening right now!
If you're intrigued by ottomate, consider having a look at the launch
