We just launched our Alpha and we need your honest feedback.

I built Prodshort because I understood after my previous companies that the hard thing is not to Build but to Sell.
But because I'm a builder, not a seller. I decided to build something that Sells for me.
And Because the trend is Founder Led Marketing, I decided to build something that Create content on your behalf.
But there was a lot of AI tools out there. So I decided to go the opposite way, make it the most authentic possible.
I want you to create content when you are not even aware of it.

And honestly it worked for me. Many people tell me it's amazing but to keep it honest, NO ONE PAYED, and that's the only KPI I'm looking at.

For now, I have feedback about the landing page being too AI generated, and doesn't reflect the quality of our product.
And Builder socially scared from sharing there first content.

Let me know what you think https://www.producthunt.com/products/prodshort

@bengeekly  Wow apparently it look big achievement , but isn't very low signup rate as compare to visitors?

Joseph Walker

@amelia_martin7 You might right from your end, but it's not a bad number in just one day.

Caleb Bennett

@joseph_walker2 I agree with you. but Amelia is also right from her own view point.

@joseph_walker2  @caleb_bennett1 I want to ask something

@amelia_martin7 i really wanted to share raw data and honest data so people can check. I also got multiple feedback about the landing page what would make people convert more. And I will work on that. I m curious to know the results from other launches to compare.

i tried exploring the page, and it feels like it could use examples of real output. Seeing something tangible would make me trust it more

Bengeekly

@nitesh_kumar98 100% We will add real use cases soon in our landing page.
It's and absolute priority!
Thank you for the feedback

@nitesh_kumar98 from my perspective, showing a few live examples of posts made by ProdShort could really reduce hesitation to try it.

Bengeekly

@nitesh_kumar98  @anil_yadav38 This for sure became the number one priority! Thank you for the feedback

Cool ideabuild once, let content sell for you is a real paint point many builders. If people like it but aren’t paying yet, it might be worth simplifying the value prop on the landing page and showing real examples of content it generated, so builders instantly see the outcome they’d get. 🚀

Bengeekly

@ted_hoovers  Definitely, it's my next iteration on the landing page. I will push mainly usecases to show that it brought engagement in real life. It will be real post examples, and links to them to see how much engagement they got.
What's something else that felt complexe in the landing page ?

Gilmore

This is a really interesting problem, especially the gap between people saying it’s amazing and not paying. That usually means something deeper is off.

Curious, who are the people giving you positive feedback right now? Are they the same type of users you expected to pay, or more like other builders just appreciating the idea?

I’ve seen cases where the feedback loop looks strong, but it’s coming from the wrong audience entirely.

Bengeekly

@okiri_donald It's people that trying content creation and struggled with it, so it's definitely my audience.
I believe that the first step right now is still hard. And I am listening and iterating to make it simpler.

Gilmore

@bengeekly That makes sense, and I think you’re right that the first step is the hardest part.

But I don’t think it’s just a “simplicity” issue.

Even if you make it super easy, there’s still a psychological barrier, people don’t just struggle to create content, they struggle to put themselves out there consistently.

So even if your product works, they might use it once, say it’s great, and then disappear before it turns into something they’d pay for.

That’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot, the gap between “this is cool” and “this is part of my routine”.

What I’m building (Gleyo) is more focused on that second part, turning actions into something people actually stick to through things like daily quests, streaks, and a bit of social accountability.

So instead of relying on motivation, it creates a structure where showing up becomes the default.

I actually think that layer could make tools like yours perform way better, because it’s not just about generating content, it’s about making sure people consistently use it.

Curious, have you thought about how to make users come back daily, or is your focus mainly on improving the first-time experience right now?

Bengeekly
@okiri_donald i am thinking about it but for now still stuck in simplifying. I would love to have your opinion on how to make people use it daily
Gilmore

@bengeekly I have a more concrete example of how this could work in practice, might be easier to walk through directly if you're open to it.

Oh i love this. It can feel so canned to say something for marketing purposes. But in a meeting you can really get in the groove and let your passion show. Way more authentic that way.

I just noticed we are the only one launching today with an animated logo. I always felt it was part of Product Hunt culture. Is that a thing of the past?

Bengeekly

Many people ask what a Product Hunt launch brings?
I'll keep updating this post, as of now, 6 hours after launch, we're in 2nd place and have gotten 7 sign-ups.
