Real Women in Business - A Podcast about normal, everyday women, doing the work.

I want real women, doing the work in their lives to be showcased as role models. Not because they are doing it perfectly. Not because it will be a model someone can duplicate precisely.

As a single mom and business owner life can feel pretty lonely sometimes. This is a resource that makes me feel empowered, enlightened and understood.

With Real Women in Business I wanted to take back the curtain and reveal how work and life are navigated. I want real women, doing the work in their lives to be showcased as role models. Not because they are doing it perfectly. Not because it will be a model someone can duplicate precisely. I want to showcase these real women because when we showcase how others are doing it we create space for everyone to do it their own unique way. We create room for inspiration and adaptation at THIS moment. There's been some hesitance from literally EVERY single one of the 14 guests. Saying things like: I think I'm kinda boring. I didn't do it the "right way". Wouldn't someone else be more interesting? I don't have it figured it out. I think I might be transitioning from one thing to the next. I've assured them: they're interesting. I've reminded them that how they're doing it is AMAZING and that every single person that listens will be assured of their own realness by hearing THEIR realness. Failure is real. Transition is real. Getting it right and then getting it wrong and then back again? That's real. We live in an influenced world. The media highlights legit royalty and Kardashians as standards and I look at the shininess of it all and see the need for something more nourishing, something real.
