Why I built RewardTide without bank integrations

Most finance apps ask you to connect your bank accounts.

I intentionally chose not to do that with RewardTide.

Instead, RewardTide works manually:
• You add the credit cards you own
• The engine calculates the best card for each purchase
• You log transactions if you want analytics

Why?

Because many people are uncomfortable sharing banking credentials with third-party apps.

This approach keeps things simple and private:

• No bank login required

• No sensitive financial data stored

• Full control stays with the user
