Launching tomorrow after 9 months as a solo dev… does anyone actually escape doomscrolling?
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Tomorrow I’m launching Scrollified, an app I built during late nights alongside working full-time and my PhD.
The idea started from a personal problem:
I’d open YouTube Shorts or TikTok for “5 minutes”… and somehow it would be 2 hours later.
App blockers never worked for me.
Deleting the apps never worked either.
So I started wondering:
What if short-form video wasn’t infinite?
Scrollified gives you a finite feed of curated videos, and once you reach the end… that's it. No algorithmic rabbit hole.
I’m honestly feeling that weird pre-launch mix of excited + slightly terrified right now 😅
So I’m curious:
How do you deal with short-form video apps?
• App blockers?
• Delete the apps?
• Or just accept the infinite scroll?
Would love to hear how other builders here manage it.
And if you're around tomorrow, I’d love to see you on the launch page 🙏❤️

I’m honestly a bit nervous as a solo maker, so I’m looking for 3–5 honest builders who can roast the product page today before launch.
Happy to share the early link if anyone’s curious.
One thing I didn’t expect while building this:
The hardest part wasn’t actually the coding, it was questioning whether the problem was “real enough”.
Doomscrolling feels like such a normal part of modern apps that it almost feels impossible to design something differently.
But after talking to people while building, I realised a lot of us don’t actually want infinite feeds, we just haven’t been given an alternative.
Interested to see if others feel the same. :)
