Attention Age: a free 20-second attention challenge you can play in your browser

by•

I make small iPhone apps as Honest Little Apps. This one is Attention Age.

The quickest way to see what it does is today's Daily Signal: 20 flashes, tap the cyan circles, let the amber diamonds pass. Everyone who plays on a given date gets the same pattern. It runs in the browser with no signup, and nothing is uploaded:

The iPhone app adds a five-minute, three-part test that gives a 0–100 Attention Index with five category scores, optional daily drills, a weekly re-test with identical tasks, and a simple focus timer. Free to start, no account.

The part I'd like feedback on: earlier versions showed an age-style number. In v1.2 I replaced it with the 0–100 index, because there isn't representative age-referenced data to back an "attention age" honestly, and every weight and validity check is now published. The name stayed. Does "Attention Age" now promise something the app deliberately doesn't do?

(Not a medical or diagnostic test.)
