Fashion shoppers: what makes you close a product page without buying?

by•

Hey everyone, I'm Grégoire, building Klooset, an AI stylist that sits on fashion product pages. We're launching here soon, and before that I'd love to hear from people who actually shop online.

When you land on a piece you like, what makes you hesitate? Not knowing how it'll look on you, the size, the color, not knowing what to wear it with, something else?

And if you run a fashion store, what's the question customers ask your support team the most before buying?

I'll read everything and reply to everyone. It'll directly shape what we ship.

First and foremost the price lol but in all seriousness - mainly the materials. Is there stretch or give? I can't say I know how polyester feels and operates off hand I recently bought a XXL shirt for an oversized look and it was still too small -- since sizing isn't consistent, it's hard to shop online.

An XXL bought for the oversized look that still came out too small. Painfully relatable. At this point a size label is more of a suggestion than a promise.

The materials point is really useful, and it's exactly the gap we're trying to close. With Klooset on a product page, you can just ask "does this stretch?" or "how does this polyester feel compared to cotton?" and get an answer right there, no need to dig through the description. Smart sizing then gives you a size for that brand's cut, so one label's XXL isn't treated like another's.

Can't do much about the price though, that part is on the brands 😅

Curious about one thing: for the oversized look, did you size up from your usual or go straight for XXL? I'm trying to understand how people shop for fit versus the number on the tag.
