From Idea to Pet Marketplace Script: Why I Chose to Go Niche

While everyone is building all-in-one marketplace platforms, I decided to focus on one niche: while building my Pet Classified Script.

Why?

• The pet industry is huge in the US.

• Pet lovers are super passionate — they treat their pets like family.

• General classified sites don’t create trust around pet adoption or sales.

So I built a Pet Classified Script to give entrepreneurs a quick way to launch marketplaces for pets — with location-based search, category filters, and mobile-ready design.

But here’s where I’d love your thought:

Do you believe hyper-niche classifieds (like pets only) can grow faster than broad platforms?

Or is it better to start niche and then expand into other categories?
