I built a free fitness app solo with zero budget β here's what I learned
Hey p/general π
A few days ago I launched STRYDE β a free workout tracking webapp I built alone, with no budget, no team, no audience.
Here's what I learned so far:
1. Building is the easy part. Distribution is brutal.
Posted on 24 Facebook groups last night. Got 0 replies. The product exists but nobody sees it.
2. Reddit and Indie Hackers block new accounts.
Tried to post on fitness subreddits. Instant removal. Same on IH β can't post without karma. The irony of communities that are supposed to help builders.
3. Product Hunt gives you real traffic immediately.
140 visits in 24h just from being listed. Small number but real people.
4. The product itself works.
No account, no install β opens in the browser and you're training in 10 seconds. Workout tracker, custom programs, PR tracking with rank system, nutrition logging, progress charts.
Still looking for honest feedback from anyone who lifts π

What channels actually worked for you at zero audience?
