I just finished my first PH launch with zero audience — 3 lessons 🎓
Hi makers! 👋
I'm Uzma, first-time maker from Pakistan. Yesterday I launched a B2B playbook on Product Hunt with no audience, no ads, no network.
Honest results: #417, a handful of upvotes, but 5 thoughtful comments — including one maker who gave me detailed feedback and 2 ideas to improve my pitch.
3 lessons I wish I knew:
1. Comments > rank. I stared at #417 for 10 minutes feeling bad. Then a stranger wrote a paragraph about my product's core idea being "the unglamorous work nobody wants to do." That one comment was worth more than any rank.
2. Reply to everything, fast. Every comment I replied to turned into a conversation. One became a mutual feedback exchange with a fellow launcher. Your launch page is a networking event — don't stand in the corner.
3. Take the launch to X/Twitter. My launch post there (raw, nervous, honest) became my best-performing post ever — 106 views, followers 6→15 in a day. PH gives you the page; X gives you the story.
My question for you: What's the ONE thing you wish you'd done differently on your first launch?
Would love to learn from your experiences! 🙏
