I’m a first-time student founder and just launched today β€” would love your advice

byβ€’

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹

I’m a student developer and today is my first Product Hunt launch.

I built ReplyMate, a tool that generates email replies directly inside Gmail and Outlook β€” mainly because I kept spending way too long rewriting simple messages just to get the tone right.

It started as something I built for myself, but I’m now trying to see if it’s actually useful for others too.

Honestly, I’m realizing that building the product was the easier part β€” getting people to discover and use it is much harder than I expected πŸ˜…

πŸš€ I launched today on Product Hunt:https://www.producthunt.com/products/replymate-ai-email-replies?launch=replymate and would really appreciate honest feedback and advice from people who’ve been through this.

A couple of things I’d love to learn from you:
πŸ‘‰ What helped you get your first real users?
πŸ‘‰ What makes you decide to upvote or try a product on launch day?

Really appreciate any insights β€” thanks for reading πŸ™

Mosttimes, Before I upvote products: I check the eye catchy ones. Then the ones that are interesting to read about them and what it is. And lastly, if I find it useful to me. Sometimes, I also check that it's so easy to navigate. Example, your product would be useful to me in the meantime. I noticed your upvote is low, didn't you DM people to upvote your product? That would have helped a long way. You can DM me on LinkedIn to understand better.
