I’m testing a simple idea: help people decide what to watch, not just browse movies

by•

Finding a movie isn't difficult anymore. There are endless lists, ratings, reviews, and recommendations.

But one question still takes time: Is this movie actually worth my time?

That's the problem I'm trying to solve with Aainix — a movie and TV discovery platform focused on helping people make more confident watch decisions, while also discovering hidden gems.

I've spent months building it, and now I want to understand the problem from real viewers' perspectives.

I'd love your honest opinion:

When choosing a movie, what frustrates you most?

  1. Finding something that matches your mood

  2. Figuring out whether it's actually worth watching

  3. Spending too much time comparing ratings and reviews

  4. Discovering good movies that aren't already popular

Explore Aainix:

I'm especially interested in honest feedback about whether this decision-first approach is useful.

HI Mohit,

I like your concept. I feel like a lot of people would sympthize with you regarding wasting their precious time watching a movie and getting half way and realizing this isn't for them. I have so many unfinished movies or series that way. The problem is for me, I don't necessarally care if the acting is good as much as I like the storyline. Even B movies can be good if the story concept is appealing. I like sci-fi fantasy, Comedy/Romance, and adventure movies. I love the "Hidden Gems" idea. I have seen most of what is in that list. In fact, I'm getting more interested in watching Korean movies because of it. I signed in to your website. I noticed there is no google play app for it though. That's fine, I can sign in the webiste on my phone. It would also be nice if it had a place to select what movies I watched and series am I am following so I don't get lost every time I come back. I have to use a list I made on my phone to keep track. Thanks
