Meridian — a marketplace where the platform can't touch your money (XRPL escrow)
Hey everyone! I'm Wawa, a self-taught developer. I built Meridian — a decentralized
marketplace for real-world assets on the XRP Ledger.
The pitch in one sentence: Buy and sell physical goods where payment is locked in
cryptographic escrow on the blockchain, not in a company's bank account.
Why I built it:
eBay takes 12-15% and can freeze your funds. PayPal holds money for 180 days.
OpenSea doesn't support physical goods. I wanted to see if blockchain escrow could
solve all three problems at once.
What it does:
- Trustless escrow — payment locks on-chain, releases directly to seller on delivery
confirmation
- 0.5% fee (vs 12-15% on eBay)
- 3-second settlement on XRPL
- Fractional ownership — own shares of high-value assets
- Community dispute resolution (voters, not support tickets)
- 5 wallet providers, no account needed
Try it: meridianmarket.xyz (testnet — free test XRP, no real money)
