One tile left: I made a cat puzzle and would love feedback on its swipe controls

by•

One empty square, one very long cat, and a route that almost works.

I'm the developer of Stretch Cat, a little iPhone puzzle game. Swipe to stretch the cat until it hits an obstacle or its own body. Swipe back to retract the last stretch. Fill every tile to finish the board.

The part I'd love feedback on is that reverse swipe. It keeps movement and undo in the same gesture, but I want to know whether new players discover it naturally. If you've designed or played gesture-based puzzles, how would you teach that interaction without interrupting the puzzle?

The first 20 puzzles are free. After you finish the available puzzles, an optional rewarded ad unlocks another 10. One purchase unlocks all 400 puzzles and two extra cats. No subscription; unlocked puzzles work offline.

Try it on iPhone:

Development note: I used AI coding assistance and AI-generated character/background art.

If you try the opening levels, I'd especially appreciate hearing where the controls first felt clear or confusing.
