TWO LAUNCHES

by

LAUNCH 1: KINDLY

PRODUCT NAME: Kindly

A chat app that checks your tone before you hit send

DESCRIPTION:

Kindly is a messaging app designed for people who get overwhelmed by messaging apps.

Most chat platforms optimize for speed. Kindly optimizes for how messages make people feel.

What makes it different:

Tone Check — Before you send a message, Kindly flags if it might sound harsh. Not censorship — just a gentle nudge. About 12% of flagged messages get edited, preventing unnecessary conflicts.

Breathing Space — Either person can trigger a 60-second synced cool-down during heated conversations. Both screens show a breathing animation. No messages during the pause. Arguments dissolve before they escalate.

Warmth Score — Reputation based on kindness, not followers. Earn warmth by being thoughtful. Lose it by being blocked. Can't buy a higher score.

Pulses — Stories with intentional expiry (1h to 7 days). Must fully view before reacting — no drive-by engagement.

Contact Tiers — Core (closest 5), Close (friends), Everyone. Share different parts of yourself with different people.

Also includes: Real-time chat with read receipts, typing indicators, voice messages, file sharing, message reactions, rooms, channels, and Memory Lane (daily "on this day" throwbacks).

Built with Flutter + Supabase. Free on Google Play.

TOPICS: Messaging, Productivity, Tech, Health & Fitness

FIRST COMMENT (post immediately after launch): "Hey Product Hunt! I built Kindly because I kept sending messages that sounded fine in my head but landed badly on the other end. The Tone Check feature has genuinely changed how I communicate — that one-second pause before sending has saved me from so many unnecessary arguments. Would love your feedback on the concept. Is 'mindful messaging' a real category, or am I building for a niche that doesn't exist yet?"

======================================================= LAUNCH 2: LINKWAVEZ

PRODUCT NAME: LINKWAVEZ: Calm Social

Social media that rewards wisdom, not virality

DESCRIPTION:

LINKWAVEZ replaces the like button with a Resonance Slider — react on a spectrum between Aura (emotional impact) and Wisdom (intellectual impact). This single change transforms what content gets created.

Core features:

Resonance Slider — No likes. React on a spectrum between feeling and thinking. Creators get richer feedback than a binary heart.

Dual Scoring — Every user earns Aura (kindness) and Wisdom (insight) scores. Daily caps prevent gaming. Free and premium users earn identically. "Your Aura comes from kindness, NOT your wallet."

Echo Chamber Breaker — Feed shows 70% aligned content, 20% different perspectives, 10% random discovery. Calculated from reaction divergence — no demographic data needed.

Emotional Temperature — Every post carries a mood (Calm/Warm/Playful/Intense/Charged). Filter your feed by energy level.

Auto-Evolving Groups — Ripple (2-12) → Current (13-100) → Tide (100+). Groups level up based on community activity.

Also includes: Marketplace with reputation-based seller ranking, mentorship matching, guided wellness journaling (Echo), events platform, 8 non-intrusive ad types, 10 language support, and 150+ total features.

Built by a solo developer with Flutter + Node.js + Supabase.

"Hi everyone! Solo developer here. I've been building LINKWAVEZ for a few years because I got tired of social media making me feel worse after every session. The biggest bet is the Resonance Slider — replacing likes with a two-dimensional response that captures both emotional and intellectual impact. Early feedback shows it genuinely changes what people post. The Echo Chamber Breaker (20% different perspectives in your feed) is the feature I'm most passionate about. Would love to hear: would you actually want to see content from people who disagree with you, or does that sound exhausting?"
