Wish me luck - first-time founder, marketer not maker, building in the graveyard of scheduling apps

A few months ago I joined Product Hunt to learn the ropes. It’s been great connecting with some of you - turns out a lot of us are figuring things out as we go, which is honestly a good vibe!

I’m building in public (Substack below), partly to share what I learn - no point keeping the research to myself - and partly because my background is in marketing and comms, and I’m hoping that can help cut through the noise when we launch.

If you're also trying to navigate Product Hunt, I’ll keep sharing what’s working. Last week I went deep on Hunters - it’s nuanced! - but I’ve now got a shortlist and a few great folks to reach out to.

As for the product: it’s called Meet-Ting (or Ting for short). A delightful email-based AI scheduling assistant wrapped in strong brand and community energy.

SaaS can feel a little… predictable and flat at times, so we’re doing things differently with our marketing activity. If you haven’t read The Power of Moments by Dan Heath, it’s a great lens on how to make things memorable (spoiler: don’t do what everyone else is doing).

Feel free to get in touch it's only been a few months of learning, but I feel much better placed now to help others. I just helped someone who didn't realise you can change the date on your "coming soon" page via LinkedIn.
