Shotted - AI screenshot intelligence

by
Shotted turns your screenshots into useful actions. Import screenshots from your iPhone, get instant summaries, extract reminders and event details, organize them into categories, and clean up the clutter. Unlike generic photo apps, Shotted is built for screenshot overload: fast, privacy-conscious, and designed to help you actually do something with what you saved.

Hey Product Hunt, I built Shotted because my camera roll was full of screenshots I meant to come back to: plans, receipts, chats, reminders, travel details, random ideas. I was using screenshots as external memory, but never actually revisiting them. Shotted helps turn that mess into something useful. You can import screenshots, get clean summaries, organize them into categories, detect reminders and event details, and quickly act on what matters instead of letting it disappear in your photo library. What makes Shotted different is the focus: it’s not a general notes app or a generic AI wrapper. It’s built specifically for screenshot-heavy workflows. Would love feedback on: Which screenshots you save most often Whether summaries, reminders, or event extraction feel most useful What would make this part of your daily workflow

Nice idea — I take way too many screenshots and never do anything with them. The auto-categorization is interesting. How does the AI handle screenshots with mixed content, like a screenshot that has both text and a UI element? Does it prioritize one over the other?

@mattias_s Thanks Mattias! Great question. Shotted processes both the visual and text layers together, so for mixed screenshots it looks at the full context rather than prioritizing one over the other. For example, a screenshot of a checkout screen would be categorized around the transaction, not just the UI chrome. That said, it’s an area we’re actively improving — would love to know what kinds of mixed screenshots you run into most often!

@khizer  Good to know it handles full context! For me it's mostly app store screenshots (visual + pricing text), social media posts with overlaid text/captions, and error dialogs where the background UI matters as much as the error message itself. Would be cool if Shotted could auto-tag those differently.

That's a very nice tool. While researching or while randomly finding interesting things, I end up doing a lot of screenshots from phone and not, something like this would help categorize them very quickly and easy reference for later usage

@true_alter Thank you Andreas! You’ve described exactly the use case Shotted is built for i.e “I’ll come back to this” screenshot that never gets revisited. We’re building an intelligent ai layer on top of it so that you can always refer back to these in a clear way

The reminder extraction is the part that interests me most. Does it catch things like "let's circle back next Tuesday" from a chat screenshot, or is it more for explicit dates and times?

@spunchev Hey Serge! Right now Shotted is strongest with explicit dates and times, but detecting implicit language like “circle back next Tuesday” is very much on the roadmap, it’s a natural next step for chat-heavy screenshots.
