Legal Skills for AI - Legal tasks done at the speed of a keystroke and for free

Hey PH 👋 Roman here, founder of Skala. Quick backstory: I’m a lawyer who runs a tech-focused law firm with ~20 attorneys. I also build in the legal tech space. Since the launch of Claude Skills and Claude Cowork last month, it’s become clear that the practice of law (and really any knowledge work) will never be the same. For the past three years we’ve had generic AI chatbots and legal GPT wrappers with mysterious system prompts (our own Skala AI included). Now there are Skills and Plugins, which are portable, open-source packages of expertise that plug into whatever AI agent you already use. Today we’re launching Legal Skills by Skala — a small but growing collection of legal skills built by practicing lawyers that can be used in any AI agent of your choice: Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, or whatever you’re running.
