Why I built StageVia: The 6-hour decision that should've taken 10 minutes
Hey early supporters 👋
Thanks for checking out StageVia before launch!
I wanted to share why this exists:
Every time, I had the idea sketched out, I spent the next hours in "research mode":
Opened 20 tabs comparing Vercel vs Netlify
Read 5 conflicting blog posts about databases
Asked on Discord: "Should I use Supabase or Firebase?"
Watched YouTube videos about hosting
Still wasn't confident in my choices
By the time I made a decision, I was mentally exhausted and hadn't written a single line of code.
That's when I realized: The paradox of choice is killing MVPs.
There are lots of great tools in market, but no clear way to compare them for YOUR specific
use case.
So I built StageVia:
Visual stack builder (see how services connect)
Honest comparisons (real trade-offs, not marketing)
Free-tier-first (stay at $0 as long as possible)
Deployment guides (actually helps you ship)
What I'd love from you:
What stack decision takes you the longest?
How do you currently research tools? (YouTube? Blogs? Twitter?)
What would make this genuinely useful for your next project?
Launching in a few hours. Would love your honest thoughts 🙏
Thanks!
