Still just got calmer! A redesigned space to write, reflect, and let go

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm the indie developer behind Still, a private journaling app built around one simple idea:

Reflection shouldn’t feel like a task you can fail at.

Today, I'm excited (and a bit nervous) to share a major update that rethinks how Still feels and flows.

✨ What’s new in this release?

🧭 A refreshed UI & navigation
The app is now simpler, clearer, and easier to move through — fewer distractions, more focus on what matters: writing.

🔥 An improved "Burn" experience
Sometimes you don’t want to save a thought — you want to release it.
The Burn feature now feels more intentional and fluid, helping thoughts fade away instead of piling up.

🕰️ A new History screen
When you do want to look back, History lets you revisit past entries gently, without turning reflection into pressure.

📂 Better section management
Organize your writing in a way that makes sense to you, with smoother interactions and clearer structure.

🎨 Visual polish & micro-interactions
Subtle animations, calmer transitions, and lots of small details that make the app feel more human.

🌱 What Still is (and what it's not)

Still is:

  • Private by default

  • Calm, minimal, and judgment-free

  • Built for irregular use — no streaks, no pressure

Still is not:

  • A productivity tracker

  • A habit-forcing app

  • A place that tells you how often you should reflect

You open it when you need it. That's it.

💬 I'd love your feedback

This update was shaped by real user feedback and a lot of iteration.
If you try it, I'd love to hear:

  • What feels better?

  • What still feels confusing?

  • What you’d change next?

Thanks for checking out Still — and for supporting indie makers 💛
