This is such an exciting AMA! Thanks so much for taking the time to engage with us, especially since Supabase has become such a game - changer in the dev space.
First off, for those dipping their toes in
I'm relatively new to the world of backend development alternatives. What would you say is the single most compelling reason for a junior developer to choose Supabase over Firebase, especially considering the learning curve? I'm always a bit wary of jumping into something new when there's an established giant like Firebase out there.
Regarding the "platform for builders" concept
How do you ensure that Supabase stays super developer - friendly as it continues to grow? Are there any features in the pipeline that are specifically aimed at making the building process even more seamless for devs who are using it to create complex applications?
Open - source and community - driven
The open - source nature of Supabase is one of its biggest draws. How do you balance the need to maintain a sustainable business model while keeping the project open - source and community - driven? Have there been any tough decisions in this area that you're particularly proud of?
Feedback time
I've been using Supabase for a small - scale project, and one thing I'd love to see is more in - depth documentation for some of the more advanced features. It took me a while to figure out how to optimize some of my queries for better performance. Are there any plans to beef up the docs?

Supabase is awesome and saved us hours when building our product. Thank you so much!
One of the only thing that remains quite painful is environment switching, and migrating staging tables/functions/policies to the production project.
The current recommended workflow here requires the Supabase CLI and a new project. Any plan to make environments easier to manage?
Easily adding/reseting mock data to staging tables would be awesome too.
@copple I feel hosting web app is the only missing piece for the Supabase.Can you share any open source alternative for hosting? Any other cool feature you personally like on the competative platform and want to bring on supabase
