Welcome to our campaign on ProductHunt! My team is excited to formally introduce the community to Trademark Owl! We saw an issue: startups pay way too much for intellectual property services. @metadavid Thank you David. My team and I founded Menlo Park Patents and saw the need among startups. We sign 1 new startup per day in Menlo Park Patents and thought we should carry over our structure into trademarks.

@metadavid We are actually based in Tampa, FL. The name 'Menlo Park Patents' was strictly for marketing. Thomas Edison opened his famous invention factory in Menlo park, NJ, and the home of venture capital is in Menlo Park, CA. That is the story behind the name. Our goal is to provide a transparent service to clients at a competitive rate. We found that a lot of our patent clients needed trademarks but did not want to pay a hefty attorney fee which fueled our motivation for Trademark Owl.

It costs $399 + $250 filing fee which is no different than just getting it done by an attorney, in fact you can find one on Fiverr that will do it for $125…

@vashon_lorona_gonzales Thanks for the feedback. The $250 filing fees are the USPTO fees per class. This is something that is unavoidable as Uncle Sam (The USPTO) likes his fees. At the moment, we also license this app to attorneys that want to streamline their processes and have used them to vet our app. We found that a lot of our competitors with lowers costs, layer on more billables to the client. The client is then left with surprise bills which we don't believe in doing. Our solution provides a transparent fixed fee. NO surprises, and attorney filed at the USPTO.

I think it'd be nice to add a predictive analysis feature that helps users understand the likelihood of trademark approval based on current trends and past data.
