Auto CV 2.0 — From CV Builder to Job Search Assistant
We’ve been heads down improving Auto CV — and this update is a big one.
A while ago, I shared the initial version of Auto CV. Since then, I’ve focused on refining the core experience and building features that actually help users move faster in their job search.
✨ What’s new?
1. Complete UI/UX overhaul
The entire interface has been redesigned with simplicity and clarity in mind.
Cleaner, more focused CV builder
Faster navigation between steps
Improved readability and structure
Better preview experience before download
The goal was simple: remove friction and let users focus on creating a strong CV without overthinking the tool itself.
2. Job Alert System (in progress 🚧)
This is the biggest addition I’m currently working on.
Instead of just creating a CV and leaving, Auto CV is evolving into a continuous job search assistant.
Users define their preferences once
The system scans job sources (starting with Greenhouse-based listings)
Matches jobs using a scoring algorithm
Sends curated job alerts via email
Each alert is not just a list — it’s ranked, filtered, and personalized.
Initial logic:
First alert → Top 20 highest match jobs
Next alerts → Only high-quality matches (score-based filtering + randomization for diversity)
This is still evolving, especially the matching algorithm, but the direction is clear:
👉 From “CV builder” → to “end-to-end job search optimizer”
🎯 What’s next?
Smarter job matching (better keyword + experience alignment)
Deeper ATS feedback integration into job recommendations
More automation across the job application flow
If you tried Auto CV before, this is a much more refined version.
I’d appreciate any feedback — especially on:
UI/UX improvements
Job alert usefulness
Missing pieces in the workflow
Thanks for checking it out.
