Hello Rekorso

Building Loved Products Over Perfect Ones: Why I Created Rekorso

by

I’ve spent the last decade or so as a PM, CPO, and startup advisor. In that time, I’ve seen the same "Feature Trap" derail dozens of promising roadmaps. It usually starts when we get so focused on building features that we lose sight of the actual value we're shipping.

We’ve all been there: Sales is chasing the next check, Support is overwhelmed by "now" problems, and the PM becomes a shock absorber for the internal chaos. We end up chasing "quick wins" or following market hype (hello, AI slop) instead of listening to the actual voice of the people using our product.

The Problem with the Status Quo

The frustrating part for me had always been finding the right tool to bridge that gap. I tried the industry giants like Canny, Productboard, and Aha!. What I found were tools that were either:

  • Over-engineered: They became a full-time job to manage the tool itself.

  • Budget-blowing: They turned into a "growth tax," where you get penalized with massive fees just for having an engaged community.

From Side Project to Rekorso

I eventually started a side project to build something simple and clean for my own workflow and the startups I was mentoring. I wanted a way to get "Monday Morning Clarity": a single place where I could see verbatim customer feedback, watch the community discuss it in a Reddit-style format, and validate patterns. When I saw it actually working for my teams, I figured it was time to turn it into a real product.

My Vision for Rekorso.com

Rekorso is designed to be the "pre-Jira" layer where the actual strategy and customer voice live.

  • Ideas Portal: A clean space for customers to share, upvote, and discuss ideas.

  • Prioritization Engine: Translating qualitative feedback into a unified score so your roadmap stays data-driven, not opinion-heavy.

  • The Feedback Loop: Seamlessly pushing validated wins to Jira and closing the loop with your customers.

Building a loved product always trumps chasing a perfect one. I’m launching Rekorso to help founders and PMs get back to the work that actually moves the needle.
