I’ve been working on something I’m super excited (and a bit nervous 😅) to share: Hire Friend – a companion app where people can hire friends for activities, support, or just company.

Why I built this:

Loneliness is a huge issue today. Moving to new cities, remote work, or just wanting to try something new often leaves people wishing they had someone to share experiences with. Not everyone wants a dating app — sometimes, you just need a friend.

That’s where Hire Friend comes in.

How it works:

Browse verified profiles of companions.

Book a “friend” for a coffee, a walk, a movie, or even just an online chat.

Connect safely through the app (with built-in chat & verifications).

Pay for time (hourly, daily, or event-based).

Who it’s for:

Travelers who want local friends to explore with 🌍

People who’ve moved to a new city and want to expand their circle 🏙️

Students & professionals who feel isolated 📚💻

Anyone who just wants someone to listen 💬

My goal:

To normalize companionship — making it easy, safe, and stigma-free. Think of it like “Airbnb, but for friendship.”
