Finding the right AI tool is becoming harder than the work itself. How do you cut through the noise?
Hello Product Hunt! 👋
With thousands of new AI tools launching every month, the biggest challenge isn't a lack of technology—it's the time wasted searching for a tool that actually provides the final output you need.
We are preparing to launch AI Shortcut Lab on January 12th. Our goal is to move past simple directories and provide a system that prepares ready-to-use workflows immediately. However, we want to ensure we are solving the real "discovery" pain points first.
I’d love to hear your insights on two things:
The Vetting Hurdle: When you see a new AI tool, what is the one piece of information you look for to decide if it's "real" or just another wrapper? (e.g., Is it the data hosting location, the specific LLM used, or a video of the final state of the output?)
The Search Gap: What is a specific professional task you've tried to find an AI tool for recently but failed to find a "ready" solution?
We are using this pre-launch period to refine how we categorize and prepare these tools for you. Your feedback will help us provide better ready-to-use lists for the community.
