From a Flower Shop to College to Building an AI-Powered Virtual Journal App

by

Hello,

My name is Fatima. I studied philosophy, then spent five years working in a flower shop before returning to college for Social Service Work. I’ve held various jobs — bakeries, haunted houses, and a concession stand at a hockey arena. Throughout, I’ve maintained a fascination in how people think, feel, and engage with the world.

Today, I’m on Product Hunt to share STABILISE, a health and fitness app that integrates journal writing, mood tracking, local resources, and AI analysis.

Our goal is to help users understand their emotions over time by helping them notice subtle shifts before they grow into something overwhelming. For people navigating mental health challenges, such as bipolar disorder, learning to recognize patterns early can be life-changing.

Our AI is philosophical in nature, an intentional decision designed to encourage honesty, reflection, and curiosity. I am a proponent of how Socrates said, “An unexamined life is not worth living.”

I’m happy and nervous to be here, to learn from this community, and to connect with others who care about the relationship between mental health and technology.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. I also look forward to getting to know all of you and your offerings with time.
