From zero to one: my journey with badcat.ai

Hi I'm Lancy.

Before starting my entrepreneurial journey, I was a marketing professional with a love for cats and technology. I noticed a lack of platforms for cat lovers to express their creativity, which inspired me to create badcat.ai—a place where users can draw cats and get them rated by AI.

With no technical background, I faced significant challenges. I self-studied programming through online courses, often feeling overwhelmed. After months of hard work, I launched a basic prototype, which allowed users to draw and score their ideal cats.

Feedback from friends and family helped refine the user experience. I added a voting feature to highlight popular and less favored creations, enhancing engagement. Joining developer communities provided support and motivation, reminding me I wasn’t alone.
