Hello! 👋 Product Designer turned Indie Hacker. Building a "Ghost Twin" for macOS.
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a product designer turned indie dev.
I’m working on GHOSTYPE—a context-aware AI voice interface for macOS.

I built this because I was tired of two things:
"Smart" tools are actually dumb: If I say "Ask Mike to hang out tomorrow," standard AI writes a formal email. I don't want to dictate every word, and I don't want to sound like a robot. I wanted a tool that takes my intent and writes the actual message as me.
AI tools that break my flow (copy-pasting, hitting Enter manually).
So I built a native macOS interface that sits between your voice and your apps. It doesn't just "transcribe"—it automates the whole input workflow.
Here is what it actually does:
⚡️ 1. Smart Auto-Send (No Keyboard Needed) It detects where you are.
In Slack? It types and hits Cmd+Enter.
In Discord? It hits Enter.
In Notes? It just pastes. I can reply to messages without touching my keyboard once.
🎨 2. App-Specific Profiles It context-switches for me.
Outlook: Automatically polished to "Professional".
Telegram: Switches to "Casual & Lowercase".
VS Code: Formats code blocks automatically.
🧩 3. Ghost Morph (Agent Skills) It’s not just for chatting. Hold a modifier key to trigger custom agents:
"Turn this rant into a structured Jira Ticket."
"Turn this thought into a Twitter Thread."
👻 4. Ghost Twin (The Soul That Speaks For Me) This is the core. The engine analyzes my local message history to learn my habits.
Input: "Tell him I'm running late."
Output: "Yo, running 5 mins late. Start without me. 🏃" (Because that's how I talk). It doesn't just polish; it generates the message based on my intent and style.
🔒 And yes, it’s Privacy-Focused. Since I'm an indie dev and can't afford cloud storage for everyone, I built it on a Local-Storage architecture. Your writing history and style vectors never leave your Mac.
I’m currently polishing the beta
I’d love to know: Which part of your current writing workflow is the most painful? Formatting? Tone checking? Or just the typing itself?
Let me know! 👇
