The dust from launch has settled, and we've been cooking up one of the biggest upgrades yet: Modes.

Think of it like the planning/thinking mode in Claude Code—but Shotgun-style.

With Modes, you can step through Research → Specify → Plan → Tasks → Export instead of cramming everything into one prompt.

Why modes? They make your intent crystal clear outside the prompt itself:

• Same input → different outputs depending on mode (e.g. "build a to-do app" could return market research in Research Mode vs defined technical approach in Plan Mode).

• No more context confusion when you're imprecise with prompts.

• Structured workflow: Research → Specify → Plan → Tasks → Export.

• Each mode gets the right tools & agents, without clutter.
