Hey 👋 Dietitian in tech here
I'm COMPLETELY new to this Product Hunt community since we launched our product today -- FoodHealth Score.
Recently, the tech team has opened the gates to our codebase ;) meaning... I've moved up in the world from a Product Manager / Nutrition SME to a Dietitian actually contributing to our product.
FoodHealth Score is what I dedicate most of my waking hours to. With a little bit of salsa, skiing, and sailing on the side.
We've gamified grocery shopping, by taking the guesswork out of eating healthy.
"Is this protein bar healthy for me?" Check the score!
"High fiber cereal" We'll show you!
"Gluten-free cookies" We give you the most nutritious of the bunch.
I'm on here to promote the FoodHealth Score as a product, selfishly.
But I also hope to give back to the community. I'm always looking for tools to make work and life easier or more exciting <3

Hey @mallory_bobzien welcome to Product Hunt! The product idea sounds interesting, I'm always looking for the next best fitness / health app.
I’ve used MyFitnessPal in the past, but the UI can feel a bit cluttered and the heavy data collection is definitely a no go area for me. How does FoodHealth Score differentiate itself from those legacy apps? I'm curious if the focus is more on simplicity or a different way of evaluating what we eat.
Looking forward to seeing where you take this! 🍎
@minhajulll You are not alone -- I find food tracking apps to be a huge time burden, not to mention the variable accuracy at actually tracking calories and other macros. I typically tell my patients to track for a few days only, because they can be super insightful.
What makes the FoodHealth Score unique is that it gamifies the grocery shopping experience. We intercept the user at the point of purchase, show them healthier products as they shop, and score the healthfulness of their cart over time.
What most people don't know is a person's grocery cart can provide as much insight into a person's diet quality as meal logging. But scoring the cart happens automatically -- no extra work for the user at all.
