How can you use Product Hunt to increase your credibility and popularity?
I’ve mentioned several times that I see Product Hunt as a social platform, and I can say that over the past almost 3 years, it has helped me in several ways, for example:
– Meeting founders and finding a community where I feel among ambitious people
– Getting first access to innovative tech products
– Gaining publicity – being regularly present made me more visible
So how can all of this be converted into increased credibility?
Daily activity – by actively participating in the platform every day, you gain followers → they may follow you on other social networks too, which increases your credibility across platforms (I can say that a higher follower base enabled me to get sponsors).
Reviews – people can rate your products, which provides feedback that’s also visible in search results on the web.
Networking – you can get in touch with founders of prominent companies or their teams – you can hunt their products, and when you need a reference from one of these top people, I bet they’ll provide it.
Has Product Hunt brought you any interesting contacts or recognition from people on the platform?
I’d love to hear about the positives it has brought you.

@busmark_w_nika Can't agree more 😂
For me, some of the best connections here started as casual replies, not formal intros. That’s social proof in action.

@sanskarix I appreciate authenticity! :D
@busmark_w_nikaI joined Product Hunt very recently (it's only been a month or less), and I've only posted one post here, mentioning the startup idea I'm working on. Tbh, I hadn't expected anything out of it, but I got comments engaging in it. The difference I saw in the comments here and on other platforms is the intent (I'm not very sure how to put it in words), it's that they actually engaged with my post deeply. It helped me understand which features in my idea stand out to others.
That's my experience here so far.

@kavyashree_s1 Thank you, for your genuine words :)
Great the PH is replacing Indie Hackers (possibly) and being more of a social community site for founders.

@rishiuttamhk only chat feature is missing here :)
@busmark_w_nika oh that would be great, people here real nice/real compared to other channels.

@rishiuttamhk Yeah, the disadvantage should be that people would massively DM you about upvotes :D

Nika, what do you mean by “sponsors” here? Do you mean investors, or people who ask you to promote their product or launch?

@tetiana_hryshmanovska As for me, people who want to promote their product :)
