How do oyu remote teams handle excess meetings?

Over the past few years, I’ve found that so much of remote work still revolves around real-time meetings — even when they’re not really necessary.

At my last company, our “quick standups” could easily stretch into 45 minutes, and it always felt like we were losing focus instead of gaining it.

That frustration is actually what led me to start building Cadence — a simple async tool that lets teams record short video updates, stay in sync, and skip the meeting fatigue altogether.

I’d love to hear how your team handles this — do you use Loom, Slack clips, or something custom? What’s worked (or hasn’t) for you in replacing daily meetings?
